Need recs for DW in Seista Key or Anna Maria Island

I am looking to have my destination wedding in Seista Key or Anna Maria Island.  I would like to have my wedding on the beach and then have a small reception (maybe 50 people) at a hotel very close to the beach wedding location.  Because Ithis will be a destination wedding, I am really looking for one location where I can deal with one coordinator for both the wedding and reception.

Please give me your reccommendations.  I have been to Seista Key Beach before but really don't know much about the area.  Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

I second Patti at the Sandbar.....I am getting married in Bradenton and having my reception at the Sandbar this saturday......so far its been wonderful dealing with her, and they can do both there for you.  And they are reasonable!

The Gulf Drive Cafe, is brand new and redesigned they have the perfect area for a wedding and at the AMI Wedding Festival a couple weeks ago this was one of the favorites for most brides.  It’s located in Bradenton Beach on Anna Maria Island and is close to many of the bigger hotels, whereas at the North near Sandbar it can be more just rental houses.  Also another option is The Beach House Restaurant which is part of the Chiles Group that owns the Sandbar and MarVista.  I know that the overall cost of the reception and wedding is fairly cheap here and it’s a beautiful location.  The only thing about going to one of the Chiles Group restaurants is that you will still have patrons of the restaurant out on the deck with you and people cutting through the pavilion( where the receptions are held) to get out to the beach.  Just something to think about J Best of luck hope this helped.  If you need any more help about locations let know I have lived out on the island for about 15 years.

I am also looking to get married on the island. Coming down Sat and sun to do some recon but I'm there 20 or so times a year so I'm familiar with a lot of it. I would if you don't mind LOVE some recommendations on renting a pretty sizeable home on the gulf for the week before the wedding for us and close family. Maybe even two homes. THANKS!!!! No better referrals than from an Islander.
