808 Studios Photography

I know they're based out of Dayton, but have any of you girls used them for your wedding photography? Any experiences or stories to share? We've done our epics with them and have loved working with Nick so far, but he's a bit slow in response time lately, which makes me a little nervous... maybe wedding season is keeping him super busy?! TIA. :)

Is this Alice??  It's so exciting that you are on here.  Do you know who this is?   Brittany from your A &P class forever ago.

It's coming along!  I still have a year left and I've booked the venue, the photography, the video guy, and am getting ready to do cake and cater tastings.  How is your planning going.

Sounds like things are moving along nicely for you! Our wedding is May 2010 -- I've got most of the big stuff done, and all I've got left to book is a florist and maybe a videographer if we can afford it. It's slowing down a lot because I'm in Korea with Nick right now. :D

We are using 808 photos and yes Nick may not always be the quickest in getting back but he's always come through on everything.  Our engagement pictures are AWESOME!!!  I was in a wedding he did last Sept so I knew his work would be great!!!  But on his behalf...he's not the only vendor that I've had to wait on.  In face...compared to most he gets back to us pretty quick.

Genny -- true to that. I've had issues with other vendors lately that are slow on the upkeep as well because of wedding season. ALSO to his defense, I found out that he never saw the emails I sent. Evidently gmail (or at least mine) hates his [at]808photos[dot]com address. When he realized I wasn't getting answers (and got embarrassingly frustrated), he could not have been quicker to respond to fix the situation. I mean in a matter of hours! From the very beginning of wedding planning he was one of my favorite vendors despite not seeing him mentioned much on the Knot (why?!), FI and I love how laid back and "no pressure" he is with stuff, and I've learned a lesson in that photography for our wedding is probably the aspect I should worry least about. Now... if only I could find a money tree so I could order an ARTbook. :D
