Alright I'm grading everyone on a letter scale:Bridal and Formal: I bought my dress, all 10 of the bm dresses and the flower girls dress here. My experience was great, I think it really depends on who you get set up with. Everything went well with the other dresses too until they came in. They were from Alfred Angelo and every dress except for 2 of them were many, many sizes too big. Lots of alterations had to happen. I dont know who to blame that on so they get an ASt. Ignatius: We joined this parish shortly after we were engaged. We ended up buying a house in the neighborhood as well so it all worked out. The priest there, Fr. Pete St. George is amazing. He is very laid back and a lot of fun. We had to meet with him about 5 times for only 30 minutes each and the rehearsal also lasted about 30 minutes. He got the job done and quick. A+The Powel Crosley Mansion: This is located in front of Mercy Hospital Mt Airy. It was gorgeous and very unique. You have to bring in your own food so ours was catered by Walts BBQ on Colerain and it was a hit! We had 50 guests and everyone fit in the room perfectly. AThe Woodlands: We had about 400 guests, so finding a hall large enough was tough. We had to get 2 rooms here and they were beautiful. I didnt have to decorate the hall at all, they already had centerpieces too. The dance floor was huge, we had 2 full open bars and 2 buffet lines, everyone went through quickly. There were only 2 downfalls. B At The Woodlands, they offer you a dj, if you want to bring in your own they charge you $150. So we went with theirs. They give you a website to pick all of your must play songs and do not play songs. We maxed out the list with must play songs, he hardly played any of them and preceeded to play the majority of the do not play songs! We said that we wanted to limit the amount of line dancing yet he teaches a line dance to the crowd. I could understand if there wasnt anyone on the dance floor but with 400 guests, there were always people dancing. DH says he was just playing music to get all the young girls to "shake it" in front of him. He gets a D The other downfall...they wanted $200 to project our slideshow on the wall. Who knows why, its not like we wanted them to make the darn thing! So we ended up not having one. Cakes by Barb: We heard it was amazing and delicious but we didnt get to taste it! She bakes the cakes in her house and does a lovely job. At the tasting she brings you an entire cake to try! She has a list of many flavors, we had 5 different layers so 5 different flavors. She only charges $1.60/slice as well! A+Kacy Cierley: Our photographer. I found her on the knot and she is super friendly and around our age so easy to get along with. She takes very good pictures and we liked her style. Our engagement pictures turned out great and we are waiting patiently for the day of pictures! Just a few slight issues not with us but from some of our guests. So far A-Tony King: He did the alterations on my dress, my sisters, my moms and one of my bridesmaids. He is wonderful and so great to work with. He knows his stuff and hes very quick too. A little on the expensive side but still very good. Only bad thing, his loft is downtown by the D1 police dept and it doesnt have air conditioning. It might be alright if your wedding is in the winter but all had sweat running down our legs, it was so hott in there! He gets an A anyway!Skeffingtons: The planning process for the tuxes went smoothly and the day of pick up went well. They fixed all the hems that were torn out of the pants and everyone matched well. We rented 13 tuxes and they were very organized with it all! DH got free rental and we also received a coupon for a free rental that we gave to my grandpa. A+We also purchased our invitations from skeffingtons. The had a special going on where you can get 50% off when you rent your tuxes there. The manager at Northgate mall was not very knowledgeable about the invitations. Luckily he sent us a proof to make sure everything was correct but it was stressful not knowing if the order was put in right. Everything turned out great though! BPetals n Glass: The owner Julie is fabulous! Our flowers were gorgeous. When I saw them for the first time the day of the wedding I thought they were fake, they were literally sparkling! They are located in Price Hill and delivered our flowers to my parents house all the way out in Hidden Valley Lake in Indiana. Then dropped more off at the reception hall and at our church. They were truly wonderful and their prices are very reasonable as well. A+++Paragon Salons: My family has been going here since I was 5. I just so happened to win a package at Bridalrama though for free hair, makeup, manicure and pedicure. We did 2 trials with Amanda K and on my wedding day it turned out even better than the trial! She was so friendly and wanted to make sure everything was perfect. I also got a lot of compliments on my makeup. A++Catalonia Royal Tulum: This adults only, all inclusive resort, located in Riviera Maya in Mexico was a dream come true. We waited until 3 weeks before the wedding to book this baby. We found an amazing deal on travelbyjen.com. We spent 4 nights/5 days there and wish we would have stayed longer. We did their couples massage for 80 minutes and it was the most relaxing experience you could ever imagine. The beach was beautiful and the variety of food was limitless.
