If someone runs their own company, do they get a tip?

Like my Steel Drummer is a 1 man band that he does this by himself... Do I still tip him on top of his hourly charge? Also with the photographer and DJ...??

I see alot of rules & standards saying they shouldn't...but....rersonally, If they go above and beyond, and, you feel they deserve an extra something, why not tip them...regardless if they own the company.

    just my 2 cents!

I agree with PP. You tip the caterer because they serve food so why not the people who do other stuff for you on your wedding day as well...

Particularly the photographer. They are running around with you all day. That's a helluva lot of work! LOL

I say yes.  It is a service industry therefore I would tip based on their level of service.  If you feel that they performed toyour liking then show gratitude in the form of a tip.  imo....

Agree, if you love what they did for you, why not give something extra? :) I don't think there are rules about it.
