I was going to send our officiant an invite (we are using Bill Proud). I also wanted to ask anyone else who responds to this, if you are sending your officiant an invite and they are married will you also invite their spouse (so they know someone else at the reception).

I am inviting our officiant and his wife... But he is a client of my FMIL and he is doing our ceremony for really cheap =)

We did, but that was a no-brainer for us...our officiant is a friend.

We are(and his wife) but we're also inviting a lot of other people that they know.

We are inviting our officiant.  We are pretty sure that she is no longer married, but if she does have a spouse, we would invite them as well.

We didn't invite ours. We didn't know her before planning, and were sure she had better things to do than hang out with people she didn't know all day.

I sent mine an invite! If you don't I guess you could always extend the offer and let him know he is more than welcome to stay but that might mess up your whole seating arrangement. I have read where it's polite to invite but I think it depends on your relationship!

I'm inviting ours, but ours is my friend; his wife and daughter are in my wedding and his family is like my own.  :)Even if I didn't know him, I'd send him an invite, anyway.  You can consider it a nice gesture; he and his family aren't obligated to go, of course, but he may enjoy a free meal. :)

I didn't invite ours since we don't really know him outside of hiring him to marry us. We don't plan on going to their church or being all friendly after the big day.Besides, I didn't know we were supposed to?
