I am using Beth at Flawless Occasions - literally has been the best decision we have made.  We were going to hire a day of coordinator at first, but after deciding on a venue that was a little persnickety we did the full package and it has been worth every penny.

As far as costs, they are actually very reasonable for what you get.  I interviewed a few others, but Beth and I (and my FI) just meshed well from the get go.

I'm an OOT bride as well and I hired a DOC-plus. Some venues switch coordinators frequently and it's easy for details to get lost in transition. Also, it's hard for me to know the best vendors just from online reviews. Staci (Unique Event Design) has been a tremendous resource. I didn't want any worries the day of but the "plus" is because she's handling the design aspect of our wedding. I can dream up a thousand little details, but I can't pull it into one cohesive "look. All in all, DOCs usually run about $800 but I'm not sure of the price range for a full planner.

I second Beth with Flawless Occasions!  We used her for our wedding in May and she was truly the best decision we made.  If you go to her blog - aflawlessblog.blogspot.com you can see pics from our wedding (Jennifer & Marlon).

I can answer any specific questions, but like I said, she was amazing and made all of our dreams come true!  (We also used her for full planning - but were able to stay involved!)

Thanks Ladies, I really appreciate your recommendations and i will look into each one.

Another question, DOC's what exactly do they do? Do they help with the set-up of centerpieces?decorations?

    I am really confused.

For OOT brides, how far in advance do you need to get the decorations to the DOC?

    Thanks again!

It was around $2000.  The really great thing is that she has several different packages that range in price and she can customize to meet your needs!
