Upcoming brides!!

I have a question for you...are you at all nervous that you will have the post wedding blues after you get married?  It's not that I am not looking forward to spending the rest of my life with my fi but it's like once the wedding is over..then what??  Am i being ridiculous to get nervous about feeling sad once the wedding hoopla is all over?

I know exactly what you mean.  I'm excited for all of the nonsense and drama to be over, but it has taken up such a large part of my life for the past 18 months that I feel like I'll be missing something.
Also, I was the girl who looked at bridal amgazines my whole life.  There will be no need to ever look at one again. That's sad to me

I don't know what I am going to do with all my free time. I feel like every moment I'm not at work or  sleeping I am consumed by wedding stuff.

My FI actually laughs about that I'm going to be bored without a wedding to plan. It does consume so much of your time and as the wedding gets closer I get more stressed about all the little details. At least I won't be as poor since I have to buy every wedding magazine out there right now! :)

I'm sure I'll come up with something else to do once the wedding is over. We are thinking of doing an addition on our home. Home projects always keep me busy.

I can say this with complete honesty that I do not specnd as much time planning my wedding as i thought i would.  I amjust too busy right now!  BUT....all that keeps me going through hellish days of work is November 20th...and I am wondering what I am going to do once that passes.

I remember moonstone had set out a timeline of things she was going to do onc ethe wedding was over.  It would be interesting to hear from past knotties on this...anyone?

I cant wait until the whole planing is over even though my FI  has been doing most of the work. As soon as the wedding is over the sooner will will start working on our family.  Plus looking forward to great wedding pics!

I just happened to pop over today & saw this post.  We've been married 6 months now & believe me, there's plenty more to consume my time.  We're about to close on our 1st house (Sept. 30th).  Instead of spending all my time planning the wedding, I've been pouring over house listings, decorating websites, paint colors, etc.  I really thought I'd miss the wedding planning, but there's so much more.

There is a Knot board for this:  Wedding Withdrawal.  So if you get sad or wistful or whatever, you can post on there, and the girls are very nice and helpful.

I agree with jen812.  We both own condos but will finally be looking for a house with a yard and will be devoting our time to that.  AND I get to throw LOTS of dinner parties with all my new dishes and place settings :) woooohooo!  I will continue my party planning for years to come.
