I found the most perfect wedding site! But it's an hour away from where my family and friends live. Should I book it either way or roll with something closer?

If its the perfect site, you should book it!  Otherwise you will be comparing every other site to that one.  An hour isn't that long.

There are couples that travel out of state and even out of country to have their perfect wedding. What's only an hour for the "perfect" location, I say go for it. ;-)

We went with a venue that's 45 minutes away from where my FI and I live. But it was perfect for us. If it is "the one" go for it. Distance doesn't matter in the long run.

I also say book it! I live in Toronto and I booked my venue on the beach in Naples b/c it is perfect! I'm totally excited to get married on the beach and all our guests are looking forward to a weekend in Florida!!!

Actually, I'm based in New Tampa and we want a beach wedding so all of our venue sites are at least 45 minutes to an hour away.  It's not that bad of a drive and most everyone will be coming from out of town anyway...if it's perfect and within your budget go for it!
