DON JUCEAM won the 2010 Best of Weddings Pick Award from TheKnot in West Central Florida.  He has a sliding price scale depending on how big your venue is, how big your wedding is, how much you want, etc.  He's called "Tampa Bay's Frank Sinatra" but he is NOT an impersonator - he's a young retired guy who bought all the original arrangements to all the Rat Pack music and he sings it all with a great back-up orchestra.  They also mix in more modern music, depending on what the bride wants, etc.  They travel all over the state; they are doing a wedding in Orlando next weekend.

Or maybe you'd like a bright brassy band that does covers of Chicago, Earth/wind/fire, Stevie Wonder, etc.  You could look at LATE NIGHT BRASS.  They do a ton of weddings in the
Tampa Bay area, but they also play out of town like Sarasota, Lakeland, New Port Richey, Naples, etc.

Two weeks ago, they headlined the
Naples music festival.  They played in the festival last year, and were asked to come back this year and headline it with the prime Sat night slot.  See the website for more info and song samples, etc.

My husband and I do wedding photography in Sarasota and there are only two bands we have seen multiple times.

One is really good and keeps the party going - Chameleon http://www.chameleonentertainment.com/

The other one we've seen is awful. They stop between songs to chat about their next move and everyone leaves the dance floor. Definitely do NOT keep the party moving. We did a wedding with them on New Years Eve and they didn't even do a countdown to midnight! (The B/G definitely wanted it - they had all sorts of NYE gear in the reception) Of course, the name of this band is escaping me at the moment. :( I was looking back at some old photos but there is no sign in front of the band. I don't want to post a photo because I know I am not supposed to advertise here... (I am a WCF knottie too though, from 2005! Still check the board all the time...)

We had My Friend Scott Band for our wedding at Ca d'Zan in March. They are definitely NOT cheesy  (no electric slide etc.) and they were super fun! Most of the time they play in bars and at events (Five O'Clock Club etc.) They were pretty reasonably priced and they were so easy to work with in advance of the wedding. At the reception they sounded great, didn't even take a break between sets, and really kept the party up and moving all night. I would definitely recommend them if you are not looking for the typical wedding band. Feel free to PM for more info.
