St Pete Women's Club

Anyone getting married here, went on a tour there, or attended a wedding there.

It is on the top of my price because of the water views and location, and price!. The inside is not super chic, but I think with uplighting and draping to could be lovely. Any input ladies?

I looked at it, and toured it.  There were two major negatives for me:

    1) the bathroom situation.  As it's a Women's club, while there is a men's restroom, it's tiny, and you have to take small/steepish stairs to get to it.  If you are going to have any men who may not walk all that well, it could be bad.   Additionally, the women's restroom is in the bridal suite- and that's small too.

    2) the ceremony location - we were looking at outdoors locations first, and this is nothing special but a lawn to the side of the building.  It's overlooking parking lot and road and a canal that isn't very pretty.

I agree that the inside isn't super chic, but that can be handled with decor.  It just wasn't the venue for me.  Hopefully this helped- definitely do schedule a tour to see it for yourself.

I agree with the bathroom and parking for sure.

I am handle the water canal, I look at some wedding blogs and found lovely sunset photos. And I called St Pete Parks and Rec, its only to close the street down.

I am calling around to up draping and uplighting cost. My FH and I are both still in college and want to keep costs low.

    Thanks for the input!

I am getting married at the St. Pete Women's Club. The price is wonderful and the women are great to work with. I am more than happy with my choice. Not only do we not have to worry about paying crazy pricing for caterers (we are going with Mazzarro's down the street), we also have the choice of bringing our own alcohol, etc. Yes, the upstairs bathroom is a bit small, but I don't find that to be a big deal considering what you get in the package. I suggest taking a tour to see how you like it.

For those who mentioned uplighting and draping, I am not sure if they allow that. I know they do not allow you to hang anything on the walls except on designated hooks.  You are also not allowed to have any candles, but I found getting LED lights and battery operated tea lights is much cheaper (check Dollar Tree and with coupons from Michael's).
