I like your song choices. I haven't figure out all of mine yet but I am doing Singles Ladies for the Bouquet toss. I have to start deciding soon though.

How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)-Marvin Gaye

    James Taylor also has a good version <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" />

I am thinking of doing "First Day of My Life" by Bright Eyes for the processional or our first dance.  It's such a sweet song.  To me, it means my life truly begins when I walk down that aisle. Other than that, it's a beach wedding, so I don't want to muck around with too much music for the ceremony because we love just the sound of the waves.

However, for our recessional OR introduction, "I Feel Good" by James Brown suits us tremendously!  (Not to mention my FFIL and I are both huge JB fans.)

Father/Daughter dance, if we have one, will be "I Can See Clearly Now" by Johnny Nash.  My father used to play the guitar and sing that to me when I was little.  Big question mark for Mother/Son dance....?

We are not doing any bouquet or garter toss, so problem solved there.

Last dance will be "Let's Get it On" by Marvin Gaye, of COURSE. Tongue out

If you're hung up on what songs to use, your DJ or a musically-inclined friend can suggest good standbys as well as the ones that are a little different, suited to your personalities, but still appropriate.

PS if we have a cake song, it'll have to be Def Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar On Me."  We are 80s hair band fans!!

BTW girls, you should listen to "Daddy" by Kendall Payne for the father daughter dance.  It brings tears.
