BM dresses - finally!!!

maid of honor and i went dress shopping on saturday, and it turns out that the one dress that i have been obsessed with ever since i started wedding planning is the one that looked the best on her! i am so excited....the dress is 100% my style, while still being perfect for all 5 of my girls.

i can't wait for the girls to take pictures from behind looking over their shoulder so you can get a good view of the bow

their dresses will be in the "quarry" color. they will have big chunky purple bracelets and small purple earrings, and their bouquets will be shades of lavendar and ivory as well. our colors are platinum and shades of purple, with ivory and black accents.

I LOOOOOVE THOSE DRESSES! I love the bow, love the open back, love the high boatneck. And I'm so glad to hear they were flattering! I love the grey "quarry" color, especially combing it with pops of lavendar. Great choices!

Since there's an interesting collar, do you guys think chandelier earrings would be best? I intend on giving them the jewelry as a gift, in addition to something non-WR. Also, I told them "whatever shoes you want in any kind of metallic or nude." I tend to think nude would be best, but that's entirely up to them. In that case, should I just not buy them jewelry (because I won't know ahead of time if it'll match)?

i know you have mentioned it before, but what are your other wedding colors? that is tricky that you wouldn't want a BM to have big silver earrings and sparkly gold shoes.....perhaps you could say "nude or gold" or "nude or silver" to the BM so they still had plenty of options, but ther wouldn't be any clashing shoes and jewelry? i personally think nude would look best too, but any shades of gold but would be gorgeous as well....

i think for jewelry i would do a drop earring that "popped" with some color but that wasn't a huge chanedelier style? i would want them to be visible but not be so big that they took away from the ruffles along the neck. i wouldn't do a chunky necklace as that would be too much with the ruffles, but a tiny delicate pendant might be really pretty if you did want them to have on a necklace! if you are having them wear any type of jewelry that makes a statement, i would definitely buy it for them to make sure they all match.

Thanks for the ideas! I agree - nude would be my choice, but since the dresses are expensive, I just want them to be able to wear whatever shoe they already own. I know none of them would complain, but I'd really prefer nude/gold.

Our colors are blush pink, very light peach, champagne, gold, ivory, etc. -- lots of different romantic colors, not all matching, but still in the same soft color family.

And I agree about the necklaces - there's enough around their neck that I think it would be too much! I was thinking maybe some fun peach/gold earrings would look nice...they all have pierced ears, thankfully.
