Clearwater and St. Pete

Hey!! My name is Jen. My mom and i are going to Florida in two weeks to look at Don CeSar, Sandpearl, Sharaton Sand Key, and the Marriott in Clearwater. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions, advice, or have worked with these places. I am from PA so will not be able to go down again. I also was hoping that people had some possible vendor suggestions, possibly dress shops too :) I am so excited and would love all the feedback I could get!

Congrats! I'm getting married about an hour north from those locations but I did speak to a few of your venues. I love the Don CeSar but when I mentioned my budget to the guy (don't remember his name) he kind of brushed me off and hurried me off the phone. As far as the Sandpearl I know a lot of other brides getting married there and they love it.
My MOH who is also engaged got her dress at CC's Boutique and loved the service. I have also heard that Honey Pot Boutique and Athena's Bridal are great. I went to Athena's and the selection was nice but the consultants were a little pushy. If you have the time I'm getting my dress from Maria's Bridal Connection in New Port Richey and they are great! The owner Maria has a thick accent so she is a little hard to understand but my consultant Viictoria is amazing! She really listens to what you want and you cant help but have fun with her. I hope your trip goes well! Good luck Smile

Just want to say that I had a horrible experience at Athena's in Clearwater and would never recommend it.

I looked at the Don Cesar and the Sandpeal both.  They have packets with vendor recommendations and I know that a vendor has to be invited to be on their lists.
I am leaning toward the Don Cesar but, they are both beautiful locations!
I am using Grant Hemond for my DJ but, there are some great DJs out there.
Good Luck and have fun when you come down!

Hello & congrats from a former Pittsburgher!!

I'm getting married at The Sirata on St Pete Beach.  Ceremony on the beach, cocktail hour on the deck/breezeway, reception on the 8th floor (3 of the 4 sides of the room are windows & have great views).  We are using DJ Jeff Staples (he worked at Grant Hemmond but is now on his own so he had flexibility w/ price).  Videographer is Ian at Movie Magic.  I've heard great things about CCs in St Pete.  Flowers - haven't decided.  Cake - Publix

Good luck & hope you have a great time while you are in town!
