Inexpensive photography?

Ok, I'm planning my wedding for May 2010.  I know photography is important and want nice pictures, but I really don't want to spend a fortune - I'd like to keep it at $1000.  Has anyone used a budget photographer like this where the pics turned out well?  I understand I won't be getting the "extras," but I'm ok with that.  I appreciate the help!

We used Jennifer Coleman-Smith and can't say enough. She is very flexible and so fun to work with. We didn't want any printed pictures, we'll do our own albums & prints so we got: engagement session, an album made from the engagement session that was the guest book for the wedding, unlimited photography day of wedding with 2 photographers. We got rights to all of the pictures and a CD for $1350.If you would like to check out her work, go to www.imagesbycoleman.com click clients and then put in 07/11/09 -- these were just the teasers. Getting the full CD today!

I used Robert Hogan for my wedding and he was fabulous, everyone kept telling me how great he was. He has a few packages under 1,000 that might even get you an album. If you want to look at my pictures the link is: http://www.no9images.com/proofspassword: Didierwe are Amy and Matt July 18

www.newbeginningsnky.com I didn't use her for my wedding pictures but she just did some family pictures that I can't say enough about. If you go to her website, there's a link to her blog and our pictures are on there. I think her wedding package runs $600 - $800. I don't know if that comes with prints but you do get the cd and the rights to the pictures.

AK Creative Photography is under $1000, since they are a newer company. They do a lot of golf outings and events for the mayor. www.akcreativephotography.webs.com

Check out Alicia Beckman. She's shooting my wedding in September. Her pictures are amazing. Our engagement shots are in there. You can do those with her for like $50 and see if you like what you get! Our total wedding photos - ALL DAY, with release of all photos is $600. She would charge a little more to come to Cincinnati, but not much. Scroll ALL the way throughhttp://indiegirlphotography.com/

I second Robert Hogan with no9images.com. He was absolutely wonderful!! My package with 2008 prices was about $1000 and I got lots of 'extras' for what people would pay $3K plus. GL!
