Sand Petal Weddings

Hi Girls!
So my fiance and I are most likely going with Sand Petal Weddings to plan our wedding. I figured I'd post on here because I know a lot of you girls mentioned that you used them. We are trying to decide between the tented, tiki, or pavilion reception. We like the idea of the tented, however I was caught off guard by the whole condo rental thing. (If you have a tented reception on the beach you have to rent out so many condos nearby.) Also, there is no public restroom for the tented receptions, so someones condo needs to be the "public bathroom" for all guests. Does anyone have any advice on this? Anyone that has done this? Those of you that used Sand Petal Weddings.....which reception site did you use?
Thanks so much!

    Hello & Congrats!

We are using Sand Petal Weddings for our June wedding.  We chose the Tiki Hut for our reception.  It was a tough decision, but after we looked at everything we felt that was our best choice.  Here are some of the things we took into consideration.

The tented reception looks great, but it is the most expensive option.  The condo and bathroom situation as you mentioned.  It is also in the sand and I know some guests may not like being in the sand all night long.  The weather could also be a factor if a storm comes through.

The pavilion option has gotten rave reviews and I know they do a great job.  The pavilions are on either side of the restaurant, so it's not as private there.  We came really close to choosing this option, but it ultimately came down to the number of guests for us.  We thought we might have too many guests for the smaller pavilion, but weren't sure we would have enough for the larger pavilion and didn't want to get locked into paying for a large number.  The pavilion also has clear side protectors that can come down in case of bad weather.

The Tiki Hut is new and the pictures are beautiful.  It is more private than the pavilion option and also has the clear protectors for weather.  It does require a minimum of 50 guests and we were more comfortable with this option.  There is a restaurant there, but it is not right next to the tiki hut like the pavilion option is so it is more private.

My dad lives nearby so he went and checked everything out for us.  He talked to everyone and said all the locations would be nice and all the staff were very friendly and professional.   We ultimately chose the Tiki Hut and can't wait!

    I hope that helps!!

    Hi!
my fiancee and I are looking into the tented mother of pearl luau.  The only concern so far that I have is that there are no bathrooms & that we have to rent a condo.  I think the tented one is good because it will protect against bad weather.  I live in NJ so trying to communicate with them can sometimes be difficult.  It took them almost a week when I 1st called them, and it takes them a little while to answer my emails.  Has anyone personally met them?  Also, the vendors they use, has anyone met them?

We are using their service in Sept for ceremony and going with the Sandbar in Anna Maria.  The bathrooms are an issue for tents and Tiki hut site.  Sanbar will separate building with bathroom for our guests.
