Hi! we're planning a destination wedding for Siesta Key in the Spring 2012. Our goal is to find a small resort (Tropical Breeze is already booked) where we can reserve a block of rooms and host a cocktail reception. We're also trying to fidn something that is walking distance to the beach and Siesta Village.
We're plannig on a beach wedding, taking our guests to a restaurant and then returning to a small resort or large private residence to keep the party going with a cocktail reception, etc. Has anyone planned anything similar? I've read alot of posts about Siesta Key beach weddings, but haven't found too many reception ideas. We're trying to find a restaurant for the dinner portion, locationfor the cocktail reception and transportation for our guests to and from the restaurant (I love the idea of an open air trolley).
Any suggestions or ideas would be really helpful!
