Mini-moon between Ft. Myers and Tampa - where exactly?

We are from out of state and are getting married on Siesta Key May 4.  We want to do a quick mini-moon somewhere between Ft. Myers and Tampa.  What is the quietest, most chill place between these two cities?  We'd like to be directly on the beach if possible.  Accommodations budget is under $200/night.  A couple of restaurants nearby would be nice.  We don't need any nightlife.

Siesta is my favorite! Ft Myers Beach is fun but Siesta is better. St Pete Beach is also fun. I looooove Clearwater too! I think it's up to you. They're all very similar!

Next to Ft Meyers is Sanibel Island.  If you want quiet and AWAY, this is a fantastic option. Cute restuarants, very quiet and slower pace.

You're talking about the most expensive time of the year, because in the month of March, we have about 9 spring training teams within a one-hour drive that all play each other, plus all our winter visitors are here from around the world.

It's Sarasota, two blocks from St. Armand Circle shopping/restaurant area, facing Lido Beach.

Sanibel is AWESOME that's near where I live now but it's VERY expensive. I don't recommend it if you are on a budget. St Pete, Clearwater have cheaper beachy restaurants/bars I think.

Actually - Spring break is more expensive during March and April. May is starting to begin shoulder season.

I just went on Orbitz and Expedia and found a ton under $200 and which are nice on Sanibel.

I live next to St. Pete Beach. I love it but there are a ton of kids and it's by far not that quiet.  But there is a lot to do here.

So super relaxing - look up Sanibel.
