Cake Question

One of the perks of our Venue is that the cake is included; we just have to go to two specific vendors Chantilly Cakes and A Better Cheesecake. We are super excited about our cake tasting.  But I was hoping for some recommendations and inputs from people who had already used these shops. Thanks.

We went to a tasting at a Better Chessecake about a month ago.  Our cake is included in our catering package.  I'm not sure what your package includes, but the one thing I will give you a heads up about is they only have a few "standard" flavors/fillings that would be included in our package.  Anything else you will have to pay extra for.  Of course any flavor of chessecake is also extra.  But, on the plus side their standard flavors were very good.  We really liked the raspberry filling a lot.  It was good with white, yellow, and chocolate cake.  The strawberry filling, however, was extremely tart and we did not care for it at all.  The cheesecakes were all delicious as well.  GL!

I tried Chantilly Cakes at a Rusty Pelican Open House and it tasted stale and nasty.  I have heard others say the same thing.  I haven't heard anything about Better Cheesecake.

Ask your vendor if they have any other choices.

Our caterer offered cakes as well; but we have our hearts set on Chocolate Pi (a recommendation from a fellow bride to be..thank you!). Price is a bit higher than we thought; but so far we have not tasted any other good cakes!
