Venue for a small budget

My fiance and I paying for pretty much everything on our own. My parents are paying for my dress and his parents agreed to pay for the rehearsal dinner but everything else is our repsonsibility. I would like to have an outside ceremony with an indoor reception but I am not opposed to doing the ceremony and reception inside in the same ballroom or something. I really need help with finding a pretty inexpensive venue. Please help!

Like $2,000 max and I mean max. I know it's a small budget.

I was going to suggest the Rusty Pelican, but I'm pretty sure they told me their minimum is $6,000.

Have you thought about a wedding picnic at a local park?  You could even do just champagne and cake.  How many people are you inviting?

I am having my wedding at the St. Pete Beach Community Center.  I fell in love with it when I saw it. It has an area outside overlooking the water for the ceremony.  It also has a ball room inside that has all the back wall with windows overlooking the bay.  It is a very nice space that you bring in your own food or caterers and decorate how you like, which makes it afoordable and in your budget.  In my search I also looked at the Clearwater Sailing Center and the Clearwater Beach Rec Center.  They both were nice venues for people on a budget i just personally liked the St. Pete Beach Community Center a little more.  Good luck in your search and let me know if you need more info!

$2,000 max for just venue rental or TOTAL wedding budget? $2,000 for venue is totally do-able, but it's the other stuff that's expensive. I found a venue for $500, but once you add in alcohol and food etc. it gets out of hand quickly.

It's $2,000 for the ceremony site and reception site and we are going to have between 75 and 100 people

I don't know where you're at, but i was at the wedding and all they did rent a pavilion and had BBQ catered, food was awesome, but i didn't care for the pavilion, plus it was so freaking hot outside in August, yikes! It can be pricey for 100 people however.

I'd check the Tampa Womens Club.  I know you can bring in your own food and drinks there.

TheMrsCabral is right the Ybor Gardens is a great outdoor venue. My fiance and I are getting married there in November. Its all outside but it is a hidden gem in historical ybor. It even has a gorgeous fountain outside that looks amazing with candles all around it.

I can tell you that our contract (non-negotiable because state park) was $1300 for the garden that includes tables and chairs. And $500 of that is refundable considering nothing was damamged.

You should really check it out!

So I think we have found our venue! I went to the country club at the Strand in Naples last night. It's $1,000 to rent the entire country club which includes: a room for me and my girls to get ready, a room for my fiance and his guys to get ready, the botanical gardens for ceremony, the grand ballroom for the reception with the dance floor included, and all the tables and chairs. They set everything up the night before so I can come in the day of and make sure that everything is how I want it. Food is priced the same as everywhere else in Naples and I get a personal consultant to walk me through everything and make sure that everything runs smoothly. I am pretty excited about this place but I have an appointment somewhere else tomorrow that I don't want to cancel at such short notice but nothing will compare to the Strand.

Congrats on finding a great venue option! I agree that the Strand is beautiful! If you are looking in Naples at country clubs, you might want to check out Mediterra. It is absolutely beautiful and the coordinator is very nice and organized! It also includes space to get ready. Good luck!

If your venue doesnt work out, you can always get a permit for around $150 and host your wedding on one of the beaches at Ft Desoto! Can't go wrong with one of the most beautiful beaches in the country!
