"day of" insurance

does anyone else need to provide this?

our location requires us to provide a certificate of liability insurance. usually caterers have this, but we are using a family owned restaurant that does not.  so we have to provide it ourselves...

just wondering if anyone else has run into this and what you have done???? i did a little research online, but am always looking for hints!

I didn't have to do this with my venue, but some of the places we looked at required this. I would think that if your caterer does events they would have this even if they are a small place though.

    Have you tried www.wedsafe.com ?

Also, you may be able to get it though your homeowners insurance or renters insurance. Make sure you find out from your venue what the minimum amount of coverage required is before you buy it.

see if you can add it on to your homeowners/renters ins as a rider.  I need it too but our ho policy wouldn't let us do the rider so we will likely go with wedsafe.

Had never heard of wedsafe.com, thanks ladies!  Just checked it out!!

I will definitely double check with the caterer, and i have renter's insurance, but I can't find anything about getting a rider for the wedding... Something to look into.  Thanks!!
