Rusty Pelican Vendors

Hello Ladies

I just toured the Rusty Pelican over the weekend and I like the place with a few exceptions.  I will have 100-110 guests which they believe is a good size for the Pelican room but I thought it was too small for dinner and dancing (a 100 guest wedding was set up and the dance floor looked like a postage stamp).  I would need the grand ballroom.  The cooridinator told me that the room has a $16,000 minimum for a Saturday night in March. 

She also said that the minimum did not have to come just from them but could include their vendors (ie DJ, florist, ect). Does anyone have a recent list of their vendors?  She said I had to book with them to get he list and I am just not that comfortable with this. 

Does this sound right to all the RP Brides???

Trust me the Pelican room is the perfect size for that many people. We had 100 people at our wedding and there was plenty of room for dinner and dancing. The Grand ballroom would be way to big IMO. We got married on a Sunday in September so our price was different. Yes, you receive the vendors after you book. I booked over a year ago for my wedding last month so things may be different, but I was given a handful of choices for each catagory (florist, DJ, cake, ect) I loved all my vendors and didn't have any issues. These vendors have been working with Rusty Pelican for years. Good luck!

I have had several friends who got married at the Rusty Pelican.  My understanding is that their preferred vendors are all top notch and were hand picked by Don.  They totally understand what's expected of them and they give their best every event.
