I need to get the ball rolling

I have been very lax on the wedding planning lately as I have been very busy with school and work. I now have a month off of school and I would like to take advantage and get as much planning done as I can.  Things to get done: finalize and sign a contract with the caterer, DJ, florist, and rentals for chairs.  I am sure I am forgetting some things in there.  So what questions should I be asking the florist and the DJ?  Thanks in advance with your help!
Photobucket Me:36 DH: 34 TTC since 02/2012, not preventing since 2010. Me: testing came back good. DH: dx: MIF low count/motility. RE recommends IVF with ICSI. Update: DH just diagnosed with severe Crohn's disease, so any IF treatment is on hold :(

Not sure about the questions for the florist. We sat down and talk to the DJ and at the end it felt like we made a new friend. I don't remember certain questions we asked.

Florist- Ask what is "in season" around your wedding date- will help with price!

Rental Chair- any etxra cost such as set up fees, transportation fees, what time they set and break down chairs.

I don't know if you have a florist yet, but if not, you should try to contact Pam Verschuere--813-505-6043. She is a little hard to get ahold of sometimes, but she is really awesome! My sister used her for her wedding back in 2005, and I am using her for mine too in April 2012! I live in Utah and the wedding is in Florida, and she has been awesome about emailing back and forth about what I like and what are cheaper, but similar looking. She also takes you to her warehouse and lets you walk around and pick what you like and tells you what will go with that specific flower best.

Questions for the DJ: Ask if you can make DON'T play, and DO play lists...Also, make sure that you ask about overtime charges, just in case you go over a tad...some of them will charge you an arm and a leg for an extra 30 minutes! :)

    Good luck!
