Vintage themed wedding??

I am looking for a reception and possibly ceremony venue around the sarasota area that will match my vintage style wedding. I am having a hard time finding what I want, but I know there must be something out there. I would love an old mansion or theatre.. I love ballrooms too, just not all fairytale-ish.. :) I like the old/antique look. :) If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it! Thanks!

Are you willing to do St. Pete? We are doing the same kind of theme at Mirror Lake Lyceum, it's gorgeous!

There are a few historic places in Sarasota- what would come to mind would be Ca d'Zan Mansion (Venetian style Gilded Age mansion on the bay), the Crosley Estate (a more Spanish inspired mansion on the bay), or Phillippi Estates (a simple Southern venue on Phillippi Creek- though the view has been compromised a bit now that there are huge condos and a marina nearby). They vary in price and accommodation & availability. We got married at Ca d'Zan so I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have!

The Columbia Resturant.... there are several locations in the Tampa Bay Area. Really Historic and one praticular in Sarasota.

Also,  I know you said Sarasota. There is a location on St. Pete called Don Cesar that has that vintage feel. They have all kinds of Ballrooms and ceromony sites.

The Ringling Museum in Sarasota is a really cool place. As well as the Kapok Tree in Clearwater. I hope this helped!

I've never been in there, but I know the Sarasota Classic Car Museum near the airport on 41 does receptions.  FI and I looked into it, but you can't have it there until the evening (after regular business hours), and we're doing an early afternoon wedding.  Their photos on the website looked pretty cool, though!

I had a vintage themed wedding at the Crosley in Sarasota. It was ideal.
