Bios :-(

I've been planning for a very long time. And before I was planning I loved looking through TheKnot. The best part about the boards has always been the bios. It was a visual representation of all your planning and a great way for others to get ideas. It also made us all emotionally involved in each others planning since we knew your story. I'm just curious why no one does them anymore? If you check out TheNest you can see that the ol' school girls all still have bios.

I think this might be one of the reasons the board is not as busy as it use to be. Any thoughts?

I love looking at people's bios too!!!  I wish more people had them .

I have to admit that i started out all gung ho with my bio but when the new format changed....i kind of lost ptience with TK..but I totally hear ya!! Maybe we should create a bio challenge where all our knot posters here on the WCF board update their bios this month

I agree with you Lisa. I've been on the Knot since December 2007 (I had a different user name until last May) and this board used to be really busy!  People were always updating their bios and sharing ideas.  The hit of my wedding was my DIY coasters that I got from Amber's (aallenba) bio.  I used to  update mine often but got too busy. I do plan on doing a married bio at some point.  A bio challenge is a great idea!

TK just makes it unbearable to do anything, half of the time there is some kind of an error message , it's slow, i tried to upload a picture and it took forever, then it came with another error, PITA if you ask me. I'm just using my imagination lol

I just dont get how to to a lot of things and like PP said it can be a very frustrating process.

Most of us did not use TK for our bios. I used www.mywedding .com to build mine. If you look at some the other bios no one really uses the TK.

Yay I am so glad you did the coasters!!!

I haven't update my profile since the wedding because I've been so busy but I'll try to update them in the next few weeks.

I would love the bio challenge. It would help me update my bio and get me ready to a married one.

I'm so early in my planning process, I dont have anything to put on a bio, except our venue.. LoL.. Plus, I dont really know how to make one or what sites to use.
