Rehearsal Dinner

Hello everyone, I am new to this board, so I don't know all the fun lingo yet, sorry! Anyways, we are trying to get a plan together for our rehearsal dinner, about 40 people, and we are having one heck of a time. We want someplace fun, near the riverfront but not crazy expensive. I don't want to spend $3K on a rehearsal dinner. I was wondering where everyone is having/had theirs, so I can get some great ideas. We would like a place where the food is good and the beer is flowing, if you catch my drift. My idea is the Manhattan Harbour Marina (The Reef at Watertown) since it is right next to the church we are be married at, in Dayton, KY. We're just worried about having our own area. Thanks!

We are having ours at the Montgomery Inn Boathouse (about $20-30 pp, not including dinner). I can email you their pricing info if you want.

McCormick & Scmicks on Fountain Square $28 pp plus alcohol. They are great to work with and really help you with your budget.

Actually after I posted this, the Boathouse popped into my head, so I emailed them and they sent me the pricing. Sounds like exactly what I wanted. Thanks for the help! BTW, I also checked out Blackfinn (they have 2 party rooms) and they were also very reasonable, about the same price as the Boathouse in case anyone was interested.

I am looking at B & B Riverboats. You can charter their smallest boat - I believe it holds up to about 70. Otherwise you can have a reserved deck on the big one. The price depends on the meal you select, not the boat. There are dinners that start a bit below $30 bucks a person for everything and can run as high as you want. If you contact them they will e-mail you their packages. Have fun!

I am looking into Hotels in Covington. They usually have private dining areas that over look the river. Try Radisson, Embassy Suites, or Mariott.
