Seating Chart

Im sure this has been posted before, but I was wondering if anyone has any advice on creating a seating chart. I am clueless. TIA

    Are you registered at Bed Bath and Beyond?  If so I would use their "wedding toolkit."  Even if you don't plan to register there you can always sign up for an account and just never add any items to it.  You put your guest list in an excel file in their format then upload it.  Then you can check off who RSVP yes or no.  I really liked to because then I could work on it at home or work because it is online.  Once you start marking Yes for some people you can start adding people to a seating chart.  They let you pick the table size, shape, and number.  As for who to sit where.  I just thought about who is friends or related to who then built off of that.  Some tables are random and other are not. I only made sure if someone was coming alone that they were sat with someone else they knew.
