Skyline and David's Bridal

Two random and unrelated questions: 1)  Does anyone know if Skyline does any catering? 2)  I bought my dress at David's Bridal, but am having alterations done elsewhere-- will DB still press my dress after someone else alters it? TIA!

Don't know about the first one, but unless Davids has changed their policy, they won't press it after alterations.  If the changes are minor and not easily seen, you might be able to slip it through though.

Jen - I do believe that Skyline does do catering, but it varies per location.  You may have to call one and see if they do it since the stores are individually owned and operated.Aren't you having Pauline do your alterations?  If so, I thought that she would press your dress?..  I think that she may charge a small fee, but it would probably be easier than trying to get DB to do after its been altered.

Teresa-- I am having Pauline do the alterations, but b/c I'm cheap, I wanted to see if I could have DB press it for free :)

hehe  I don't blame you for trying!!  I have heard that DB won't press your dress after someone else alters it, too.  They are not nice.  :)

They'll do it as long as it hasn't been touched.  I don't remember the details but I remember thinking it was all a scam after I called David's about having mine pressed.  I was heated.  Only thing I remember is that it was going to take them forever to do it and for me to get my dress back.  It worth a call but I'd just spend the little extra for Pauline.  Do you know how much she charges?  LIke 10-20 or like 50?

For my dress it will be around $40-$45

I give DB a call but I think by the time all your alterations are done it would need to be pressed again.  Maybe you can call around to other places to price out pressing.
