Venue HELP :( I'm so annoyed!

Ok so an "unnamed" venue raised their service charge to 22%...

Which they have EVERY right to do...but now it is going to cost us much more since we are having over 200 people.

I need help with venues on or very near St. Pete Beach. I have visited the Tradewinds, Sirata and the DonCeSar...any other ideas that would hold 200 people???

THANKS!!!!!

i'm at the tradewinds but I would also check the Grand Plaza right next door.

Yeah the 22% i'm paying at the tradewinds is BS.  I'm having a buffet for crying out loud.  everything is so ridiculously overpriced at a wedding.

lol ok good...I am not the only one.

I may look into the Tradewinds one more time...I got kind of freaked out by the cost of their rooms...but heck at this point I would rather be there than pay the 22% else where!

    Thanks for the input :)

Sand Pearl.  The Hyatt's service charge is 22% also PLUS applicable state and local sales tax.

You can ask about a room rate at their sister location the Sandpiper.  Their rooms cost a little less there AND if any of your guests are military, the rooms at the Sandpiper are $69/night.  Can't beat that!

I don't know how you feel about going a little south of St. Pete, but I live in Bradenton and am getting married in Bradenton. I'm getting married at the South FL Museum/Planatarium. There's a huge Manatee tank in the courtyard and right now there's three manatees in the tank. Beautiful venue!! And extremely cost efficient.
