Seems like prices keep adding up fast.

is it just me or everything seems really expensive. I went to get my dress fitted and ended up costing me $400!! and the ring I wanted they had to custom make or order because I have small fingers cost us an extra $300 more. GRRRR I didnt know I was having a platium wedding.

I know what you mean and I don't even have all my vendors yet... I'm thinking my budget is going to fall by the wayside and I'm going to have no power over anything.

Everything is really expensive once you add up all the pieces. We had a set budget and have ended up going about 50% over. Oops! It's all going to work out though. I do not think we've bitten off more than we can handle. We just have to curb our normal extra spending $ and really save.

yeah, it does really start to add up...the little extras tend to get in the way of the budget.

Yes and in all honesty, my FI does a little cheer every time a NO shows up in the response envelope.  He's so over the amount of money we are spending.

I agree... and now I'm at the point where I'm wondering if all the little extras are worth it. I wanted to rent a car to take us from the ceremony to the reception (they are across the street from one another), but it is about $200 (it's a very non-traditional "car"). It can fit the entire bridal party and would be cool for pictures.... but...

... and I also wanted my favorite local singer to play our cocktail hour acoustic... but I'm not even sure what he would charge. He is kind of letting me pick the price, but I don't want to low ball him.

Sigh. How do we decide what extras *are* worth it ?
