Rate your florist - expense-wise

Just getting started looking at florists and there are SO many! How do I know who is in my price range without meeting with dozens of them? If you've done your own research, please share - who is most expensive, who is more reasonable? Currently looking at Fassler and Adam's Floral Designs, but open to suggestions! Thanks so much.

Give us your budget and possibly wishlist of what you want from a florist and we can better help you.  You're right, there are loads of them around and depending on what you are looking for we can help give you a match. :)

I'm looking for someone who can do my flowers, 6 bridesmaids flowers, 6 groomsmen, plus parents. Our centerpieces are individual cakes with just a small cluster of flowers on top (ex. 2 or 3 peonies or garden roses). We will need about 16-17 of these for cakes. I would love to keep all this under $1000. Is that reasonable?

IMO that is definitely reasonable.  I am using Tia, Designs by Tia and she is doing my bouquets and bouts (9 of each) and is charging me $40 for mine, $25 for BMs, $5 each, and 20 reception vases $10 each. Total with tax $516.82.She is just starting out on her own but has worked for over 7 years at a greenhouse and has done weddings. She jsut did a friends wedding and the flowers were gorgeous and my friend said she delivered on time and with vases for each bouquet. The flowers still looked fantastic at the end of the reception. Her number is 513.542.4868 if you are interested.

We are very comperable. I am doing table cakes but not doing flowers on them. After talking to the baker, they were discussing the fact that if you have the guests cut them, what are they going to do with the flowers. I am having our monogram on the tops of our cakes. I have my bouquet, 6 bridesmaids, 2 dads, 2 moms poseys, three grandmothers corsages, 5 additional corsages (readers and hostesses) plus a memorial candle and petals for all my tables for 850. my bouquet alone was 1/4 the cost since I wanted orchids and calla lillies.

I'm using Adam's Floral Designs 513-821-3196.  He has been in the floral industry for over 20 years, but has only had his own shop for the past few years.  He's an award winning designer, won two gold medals at this year's Cinci Flower & Garden show.  Anyway, I wanted these tall table arrangements with curly willow branches and greenery on half the tables, lower arrangements on the other tables, so for that (which could be really expensive), and my bouquest, my bridesmaids bouquets (5), bouts, flower girl pommanders, corsages for family, etc, it was all under $2000!  I think this is amazing.  If you didn't want as elaborate centerpieces, I think it could be really inexpensive.  He's really creative so you can just give him a general idea with your budget and he can make something AMAZING!
