post ceremony celebration in Sarasota

Happy Friday!!!!!!!
So here's an update...I've been in contact with both Flemings and Mattison's 41 and they both want a $2500 minimum.  That'd be fine if we weren't having an AHR.  So...does anyone know specifics about renting a beach pavilion on Siesta Key???  I thought we could do a low key appetizer "picnic", have an ipod/docking station and cake.  But I don't know if we'd have to be out a certain time and what other restrictions are.
Thankfully I have time on my hands...but if anyone can offer suggestions that'd keep me under $1000 for our post ceremony celebration in Sarasota I'd greatly appreciate it!!!

    I can relate!

You can find out all about the Siesta Beach pavillions & pricing, etc., through Sarasota County Parks & Rec online. I looked all that up awhile ago when I was looking for a post-celebration site, too, so don't recall the specifics, only where to go to find out.

Heck, there's a FREE pavillion on N. Trail in a lovely little park on the bayfront, tho it's first-come-first-served--so someone would have to stake it out. Only problem with either site is weather...

That's why we eventually decided on something indoors in the a/c since on our date in Oct, we didn't know if it'd be unbearably humid or what (it was hot & sticky on our date in 09).

Ours is at the Hyatt's restaurant, Currents. Prices there were $10-$25pp for entrees and they're amazingly helpful and willing to work w/you (even have a gorgeous ceremony site right by the marina & waterfall pool....).

    Best of luck. :)
