probably changing my caterer

So... trying not to stress out. My fiance and I decided like... 2 seconds after we were engaged that we wanted this local Italian restaurant in Bradenton to cater our wedding (buffet style).  We have been in contact with them several and each time, they say they are going to call us back on say... Monday or Tuesday and then like the NEXT week I am calling them asking what is going on.  I know they are busy but I am over it!!!!!!

So, we are probably going to use Mr.Bones BBQ from Anna Maria Island... Has anyone else used them before/or is using them?  It's going to save us like $500, so I am SOOOOOO not complaining, but I'm kind of disappointed in the Italian place :(

    Sorry about your italian restaurant. We are using Simply Gourmet Caterers in Sarasota, they have BBQ menus that we are doing for our rehearsal dinner and something different for our Wedding Reception. They have italian too!

    If your wedding's not until November, they probably didn't see the emergency.  If you really need to talk to them, why don't you stop by the restaurant?

    The problem is that everytime I call, they say they will call back on a certain day and then don't follow through.  It has happened all 5 or so times I have called them.  They are also about 45 minutes (one way) from where I live, so I can't just pop in when I have a few extra minutes. My fiance made a good point also-- if we are worried about them now... are we going to keep being worried as the date gets closer?? (two months now... AHHHHHH!!)

    I called Mr.Bones BBQ today and actually spoke with the owner.  She was very friendly and helpful over the phone.  I'm pretty excited about using them now.

    But I am going to check out Simply Gourmet Caterers as well, thanks for that!!!
