Bakery for Wedding Cake

I have been a cake decorator for about 8yrs. and I DO NOT want to do my own wedding cake LOL. What are some of the good bakeries in town that are afforable and delish other than Publix???

A couple posts down we were talking Cakes by Carolynn. They are wonderful to work with, they make BEAUTIFUL cake and are delicious. Lots of different choices for flavors too.

I like A Piece of Cake, we used her for our wedding and now we use her for any cake needs. She is relatively cheap too.

I'm actually using a couple in Land O'Lakes...their business is "Granny Bubba's".  Chris and Shay are absolutely wonderful...and their cake is to die for!  I love them and I love that I'm getting my cake from people and not a huge bakery!

I'm using Chef Nelson. I did tastings at 4 cake places and his was the best price and really yummy!

Let Them Eat Cake off Westshore is also really good. I had one of their samples from a show and it was awesome!  I had a sliver of cake and the piece was like five layers high.

Luckilly, the venue I'm looking at, that is their preferred baker and the cake is included in the entree price!

I think Publix makes a good cake, but the ones I've seen are pretty "cookie cutter" as far as the way they're decorated.

I talked to Laurie from A Piece of Cake and decided to go with her.

I agree with Let them Eat Cake. I am getting mine for Matt and Doms closer to AMI.

We are most likely going to go with A Piece of Cake as well. I really love her cakes and I believe her prices are comparable to Publix cakes.
