Cakes

Does anybody have any recommendations of where to order a wedding cake? At first we were thinking Publix but we really had our hearts set on a spice cake and all Publix does is boring old yellow, chocolate ot carrot. Any ideas???
Thx!

We're using Chocolate Pi for our cake. They have a lot of really awesome flavors and their cake was the best out of all the cake tastings we went to.

I used Chef Nelson Cake Studio in Palm Harbor, He will deliver to anywhere and the cake tasted fantastic.

Here's photo of my cake from my wedding. It came out exactly as I wanted for our small wedding.

I love "A Piece of Cake" on Memorial Highway in Tampa.  Laurie is the owner and is fantastic to work with and her cakes are out of this world!

I second Alessi's. My fiance and I had our tasting a few weeks ago, we're doing a raspberry swirl with lemon crème and raspberry jelly filling. I really like Melissa (their cake designer). They were recommended to me by my venue because they are priced about the same as Publix... a little more to a little less depending on what you get. They had some really delicious flavors outside the norm. I can't remember now, but I think they may have given us some kind of spiced cake to try. And they had something with rum and caramel that was yummy. Now I want cake.

Daughter is doing a "dessert table" of cakes.... we are using Wright's Bakery in South Tampa..... the place can make some cakes.  She is having 7 different varieties on cake stands for her guests.

One will be more special with and added layer and topper to cut!
