Wedding dress prices..vereses trunk shows YIKES!

Hi everyone,

So I booked my first gown appointment to start shopping!!!! Just from searching online it seems that the dresses are SUPER expensive.  I am going to CC's boutique in St. Pete to start because I got my prom dress there and had an amazing experience.

Any designers that are so ridiculously expensive I should stay away from?  Also, has anyone ever been to CC's and can give me some advice?  For instance...am I allowed to try on their clearance dresses during a normal appointment?

Ok one more question: what about trunk shows? How much do you usually save?

Thanks!!
Lauren

I highly recommend looking at Emelina's for dresses. They include alterations for free when you purchase your gown from them. So far I've been very happy. My first fitting is this month.

I have a maggie sottero dres that I got during a trunck show. If you fall in love with a dress ask them if the designer is having a trunk show anytime soon.

You should be able to trry on any dress you want when you schedule an appointment. FAIR WARNING... their Customer service the last 2 months has been HORRIBLE. Make sure they know it is your appointment and you want the attention you deserve.

Good Luck dress shopping! I went to CCs and purchased my dress- a Pronovias gown. They are actually having a Pronovias trunk sale (i think this weekend)... you should check it out! They really have gowns in all price ranges from about $1000+, but you find find some less expensive at their many trunk shows!

I'm in love with Maggie Sottero dresses.  I believe there is a trunk show there on the 17th???  I would love to go myself!

I had an amazing experience at CC's my consultant was DJ. I purchased an Eve of My Lady dress. I know that trunk shows are more about featuring a designers entire new line as opposed to it being about great prices. The discounts are very minimal however you get to see more dresses from your favorite designer. GL!

I had an amazing experience at CC's in July and will be going back in the next month to finish my dress shopping. I had Ashley as my consultant and she was awesome. I showed her the dresses I liked and she got really excited and pulled tons of dresses for me to try on and a few I hadn't thought of and I think we found the one. She had another person pulling dresses for us too. She made the experience fun and I'm really excited to go back. She also stayed within and even below my budget which was even better because I doubt most places do that.
