    I went to AA and loved it, went to Davids and loathed it (left cursing).... I took my sister, moh, bm, and gay guy friend. I bought it that day.
    Biggest advice: don't take more than 2 people with you on a Saturday or there will not be seats for them. Go during a week day if possible. Be prepared to put a deposit down or buy in case there is a sale.

    I went to David's in Michigan on an impromptu trip.

    I agree with all that PP said. Keep it small, try to go on a weekday, and be prepared to find your dress.

    I also went in without expecting to find it that time. Just have fun and be open to try what the consultant thinks you would like. I would have never picked a halter for myself but I did and love it.
