Places in the tampa area for engagement phots

Hi Ladies,

Our engagement pictures are supposed to be taken next week, and I have NO IDEA where we should go to take them. Jason Angelini is our photog so it needs to be in the Tampa area. 

Our wedding is on the beach, so I want something different for our e-pics. Any thoughts? A nice forest-y park with trees or something could be nice, but I'm not from Tampa originally and I live in the Bradenton area now, so I don't know where to go. Something with nature or animals would be neat too. I just really want cool pictures.

He's suggested Ybor as a possible place, but I don't know if I like that or not..

I also have no clue what we should wear to this event. I want the pictures to look awesome and be fun- help!

UT or over by the new Glazier Kids museum is very pretty!

This is EXACTLY where I was going to say.  At the Curtis Hixon Park at 400 N. Ashley Drive in Tampa. 

It is beautiful there.  You have a modern park, the museum of art, Unviersity of Tampa on one side, the river, downtown.  SO MANY PLACES HERE!

We did ours at UT today. There are so many places for great shots. You can do pics inside Plant Hall (the maind building), out on the verandah, and even in Plant Park. It is such a great place for photos!

You read my mind! I was just about to post about this same topic. Ours are in a few months and I can't come with a place I love.

UT is gorgeous, we do our family photos there every year though so I want something different. But it has SOOO many options.

Your photographer should be able to recommend some places. Our photographer does lots of down town photography and stuff in a train yard that turns out amazing, so we will probably do something similar to that!

If you want a foresty location I heard Lettuce Lake Park on Fletcher has some really nice boardwalk areas on the river and forest photo options!

I personally would recommend the Tampa Museum of Art. It's a very modern looking building, plus everyone goes to UT and Ybor. Just a little typical these days IMO. Hope you have a blast. 

Oh! Or you could even hit up Busch Gardens or Lowery Park Zoo... Some place totally different and unexpected!

we had ours in Hyde park village.
 We also had some on Bayshore Blvd- which is right down the street.
 There is a park in the village as well.
this was back in February. So it was chilly
I thought  they turned out really nice.

Ok, so we settled on the Lowry Park Zoo. I'm beyond excited because I love animals and I think the pics will be a little bit different. Now, if I could only figure out what to wear!
