your DJ perform before you hired him? I don't know why I am having such a hard time with this! The DJ is my last big hire. I think I am struggling because the music is such an important part of a good party, and I don't have any personal experiences with any local DJs. (Brian Childs, who is so widely recommended on here, is not available on my date). I didn't grow up in Cincinnati, and most of my FI's family used bands at their receptions, so I am stuck! We have a meeting with McFadden soon. FMIL really thinks we should hear a DJ before we hire them, and I am sure it would increase my comfort level. But do people really do that? Did/Has anyone else struggled with this? And am I being crazy??

Thanks!
