Walsh Wedding Photography

Do any of you ladies know anyone who has used them or are using them? I know there is one Knottie who has but I cant find her review of them. Their prices look really good but I'm afraid they might be too good, if you know what I mean. I also was wondering what questions you all were asking your photographers and if there is anything I need to make sure I put in the contract?
Thank you :)

I have not heard of them. I would find out how many photographers are included (2 is ideal), are they editing the pictures, do you get rights to the pictures/can you print then yourself, and most importantly, do they have insurance?? You should also get a feel for if you like the person or not. They will be spending a lot of time with you on your wedding day, so make sure they don't get on your nerves!  Good luck!

    mpgator,

They have a package that includes 2 photographers for 6 hours, a disk of a minimum of 300 pictures with printing rights, and online viewing. I called them today and they sounded really nice and made me even more excited about my wedding, which was refreshing because lately everything has lost its luster. I didn't think to ask about insurance though. I'm supposed to get a follow up call from their second photographer tomorrow so I will definitely ask. Thanks for the advice Smile

I've never heard of them either, do they have a website? I tried google it without any luck. You should meet with them and see full weeding or 2 before you hire anyone. Insurance needed if your venue requires it, but i guess insurance is good to have for any business.

i've also not heard of them. but what gets me is if they are shooting for 6 hours and you get a minimum of 300 photos - that doesn't seem to be a lot of photos. seems like they can shoot shoot shoot, but maybe the quality isn't fantastic on most of what they shoot, which is why they place a minimum on the disk?

also, insurance is UBER important whether your location requires it or not. it also helps solidify that they are a legitimate business. there are a lot of photographers out there that don't have a business license let alone insurance.

oh, also make sure that if you do decide to hire them, make sure that you are getting 300 different photos... not 150 in color with the same 150 in black and white. i had a friend that happened too.

    Thank you ladies,

They do have a website its walshweddingphotography.com. I asked about the 300 photo minimum and they said that 300 is just the starting point, if there are more pictures then they will give me them as well.
Its a wife and her husband that are the photographers. They are a smaller photography business but they have almost 15 years of strictly wedding photography experience and 35 years of general photography experience and they do have insurance.
My FI and I are going to discuss it more and see if we want to meet with them now or not but Ellen (the wife) was very nice and straight forward with all her answers, which I liked because all the other photographers I talked to wanted to meet with me before they answered a lot of my questions or tried to rush me into a contract by threaten me with "this price wont last forever" crap.
I will definitely let you ladies know how the meeting goes if we have it next week. Smile thank you all again for your input

Never heard of them either, just took a pick at the website. WOWOWOWOW the prices are just unreal, are you sure they've been in business for 15 years??? It looks more like someone who just starting out with prices like that,  sounds too good to be true. Be careful, let us know how your meeting goes.
