RSVP Wording

I'm looking for some feedback on my RSVP wording options.  We want to do something a little fun and zoo-related, since that's where my reception is.  We have the "accept" version agreed on, but for the "regrets" we can't decide.

FI feels that some of them give a "negative connotation" to the animals at the zoo.  I think he's reading into it too much; it's really just to make a funny RSVP.  Please take the poll to pick your favor.  (Or if you can think of another variation that would work, feel free to comment -- that'd be great too!)

Accept:
Happily accept.  Wild animals couldn't keep me away!

Regret:
Regretfully decline.  Heard about the wild animals.
Regretfully decline.  Heard there will be wild animals.
Regretfully decline.  Steering clear of wild animals.
Regretfully decline.  I'll be hibernating.
Regretfully decline.  We only celebrate with domesticated animals.

Re: RSVP Wording

  • I LOVE your idea!  I may be using a varient on my own RSVPs.

Of the regret options, I like "Regretfully decline.  I'll be hibernating." the best.  It keeps with the animal/zoo theme and is very distinct from the acceptance.  Of course, the hibernating idea would work best for a winter wedding!
