So... you know those people....

The ones that you are polite to, but you don't really like that much... don't consider a friend and would never willingly spend time with outside of work or family obligations....

Those people

that you invite... because it's the polite thing to do (or because your parents inisist they be put on the guest list because all of your other cousins were invited... or because you were stupid enough to invite several of your co-workers so you invite the other 2 or 3 just to keep the peace so they don't get a pissy and make your work life hell b/c they didn't get an invite)

Those people

You grudgingly sent an invitation (which I know you should only invite your close friends and family that you just can't imagine your wedding day without... blah blah blah... and should never invite people that you don't really want to show up)

Those people

That you secretly really kind of hoped their invitation got lost in the mail or that they would RSVP with "decline with regret"

THOSE PEOPLE are coming.  All of them.

    Oh man! That blows! Ive got a ton of them and if FI doesnt stick to his guns with his step mom tonight...we'll have 3 ore! Ugh!

    Yeah.... do everything you can to not invite THOSE PEOPLE...
    They just might show up (shuddering at the thought)

    Lol.... I am so glad I am not the only one that got stuck inviting those people.  Geesh... I guess we all know them.

    I usually lurk, but, man, that idea is scary.

    My wedding isn't for awhile now, so the guest list isn't at all near being 'finalized,' but I'm dreading inviting this one person. She is friends with all my other friends, but we never talk outside of when we are with other people and we have different viewpoints about everything and never agree. *sigh* maybe by that time I will figure out what to do.

    Good luck with "those people." Maybe a (non-harmful) family emergency or something will come up so none of them can make it?

    Un-lurk yourself!!!  We don't bite... although some of us are a little on the crazy side (myself included)
    Hope your "that person" doesn't come... or gets lost on the way or something.  lol
    I am totally ok with a non-harmful emergency of some sort.  Lol.  Evil....

    eww I'm sorry that they are coming. I refuse to let them be on the invite list. I may seem like a b*%$# to them but oh welll. The way I see it, they probably wouldn't invite me to their wedding so I'm not going to feel bad about leaving them off the guest list. I hope it all ends up ok for you! =)

    We had a hand full of those people. A few on my side didn't come (THANK GOD) but a few on his side did thankfully we were so busy table hopping I barely noticed them at the whole thing. So don't worry to much about them you'll be to busy to even acknowledge them
