Wedding Update Wednesday

What did you accomplish during the past week?

-------------------------

Here's my list:

1. Dropped off rings to be engraved and resized.
2. Scheduled hair/makeup trial.
3. Ordered some more fun stuff (signs, baker's twine, hair bow for flowergirl, etc.)
4. Figured out a new way to do my table numbers that looks really good and bought most of the supplies.  Will take a picture when I've actually done some of them.

And a few more tiny things that I can't think of right now.  (I made a detailed to do list for every week left before the wedding just to make sure it all gets done and I really like crossing things off.)

I ordered the rest of the candles/holders for our centerpieces. Now if only I could settle on how I want the finish product to look. Also picked up a few random things at Michaels and JoAnnes to play around with, but haven't had much time to really work on anything.

This is a P&R (all I seem to have time for lately) :( because I have to go back to work!  Thank God it's my last day, I'm losing my mind!  Everything is all set though, I have to get some odds and ends as far as gifts for attendants, readers etc!  I'm getting married in 2 days though, I hope I didn't forget anything!  BTW, have fun at the KGTG!  :( I obviously won't be able to come :( but have a beverage or two for me! :)

It took me a few weeks to address invites, so I know how daunting of a task that is! I wrote everything out by hand: addresses, return address on backflap, and even did the return addresses on the response envelopes in case people would be too lazy to do it themselves. I'm glad I gave myself enough time to do it, because if I had needed to sit down and write them all out at once, my arm probably would have fell off.

You wrote out every return address for the invites and the response cards?  Wow!  You deserve a medal for that one.  I can't imagine.

I went home last weekend to accomplish a lot which I talked about here.

To summarize and add new things:

    - Started dress shopping... and finished shopping :) (Go to Your Perfect Day in Sodus if you're looking for beautiful dresses at great prices. Sandy, the owner, is extremely accomodating, helpful and not pushy. It wasn't a glamorous dress shopping experience, but it was totally worth it.)
    - Showed my fiance our venue
    - Booked room blocks at a local hotel
    - Booked Club 86 to make our cake
    - Decided to go with Cheesy Eddie's to provide cheesecakes
    - Toured Belhurst Castle, where we're most likely having our rehearsal dinner there
    - Shot engagement pictures with our wonderful photographers from Empire West Photo
    - Met with two florists and will likely make a flower decision soon

One thing I've come to realize: I seriously don't know how anyone planned a wedding from long distance before the internet and email.

You've just inspired me to print address labels.

We got engagement pictures taken this weekend, and started browsing through stationary designs which has been fun. However, after invitation overload this week, we decided to stop torturing ourselves until we decided on a date at the very least.
