Opinions on centerpieces

Ok, so I started to make a centerpiece just to test it out if it didn't end up looking right. I was going to do manzanita trees on half the tables and on the other half my florist was going to put flower arrangements to break it up a little. So I got one of my trees made with the help of my awesome moh. Oh man, was it tedious and frusterating gluing all those crystal beads on!!! Anyways, I was hoping to get some opinions on what people think of them. I like them, but I'm not completely sold. I feel like it needs some color or something...I think its the pot that throws me off. Its not at all what I wanted but I could find what I was looking for and settled on this and I hate the color of them. I'm also going to have a bunch of little tealight candles scattered under them:) The pictures arnt the greatest so I hope you can actually see everything okay! I appreciate any opinions:)

I love the idea! Very trendy. I would use fewer crystals and add few single flowers to match your flower centerpieces. Do you have crystals in your flowers? If you add some bling to them, it will tie it all together. Does this make sence to you?

I agree with Oksana, you shouldn't use so many crystals, it takes away from the natural beauty of the tree.  Also, I'd spraypaint the pot a different color or add a ribbon to it or something. Other than that, I think you have a great idea!

It's a really cute idea, but I agree that it's not quite right. Maybe instead of placing the candles around the base, you could put them in the tree like this:

    I agree with less crystals.

Did you try putting some tea light candles around it? That also might change the look/feel of the pots. Though either adding ribbon and/or painting the pots might also work.

You said you weren't in love with pots. How about using real tall round glass vases filled with river rocks or crystals?

Thanks for all the ideas!! I originally was going to put a few less crystals and add some flowers to it but my moh thought this would look better. I'll try taking some strands off if possible and adding the flowers like I was going to:) I also thought of using the hanging candles instead but I couldn't find any that were within budget and looked nice:( . I'm going to look around again and see if I can find another pot too and of not I'll try spray painting it a different color like a few have suggested. Thanks again! I'll repost the results again when I finish it up:)

I have seen some DIY brides take regular old votive holders (you can pick them up for $1/piece or less) and make hanging votives with wire from Lowe's or Home Depot.  It may take a few trys, but I am sure you can get it.
Definitely less crystals, more candles and do something with the pot to make the color fit better.

i agree with what everyone says.  I have been thinking of doing something similiar.  But spray painting the branches silver to go with our accent colors.  Maybe that is an option for you as well.

Where did you find the trees and crystals and how did you secure them to the tree?
