Onondaga Park in Strathmore

Wondering if anyone has any feedback as hosts/guests for wedding ceremonies at Onondaga Park in Strathmore (NOT Onondaga Lake Park in Liverpool)?

Did you have to deal with major restrictions or neighbors complaining about the ceremony?  I've heard they do not want people having receptions there due to neighbors complaining.

Did you just have acoustic music, or a generator to amplify the music?

I'm hoping to use the pavilion (which has wooden picnic tables around/under it) for light drinks prior to the ceremony to keep people hydrated and possibly sitting early on, as it will probably be a hot summer day... and kinddd of hoping I don't have to rent chairs (except for elderly/handicapped) for everyone if they just walk over to the gazebo for the 20 minute-ish ceremony.  (Is this just wishful thinking??)

I live near the park and, although I haven't been there for a ceremony or reception, I can vouch that it is an absolutely gorgeous location.  I have seen tons of pictures from the gazebo and park grounds.  I am trying to picture actually holding a ceremony there... dunno.
I would suggest having chairs for your guests though- esp if it is a warm summer day.  Just the polite thing to do.  Not necessarily enough for every single guests as some will always choose to stand and mingle, but you probably should have a few chairs available for their comfort.  (Think girls in wicked heels in the grass... I would appreciate a chair...)  Just a thought.

I wanted to try and nix the chair idea for my outdoor ceremony too...but got bad feedback from everyone (family included). I agree with Monica, you dont need to get chairs for everyone, but maybe 3/4?

Thanks for the reply!  I realized I never specified in my post (now updated) that when I was talking about the pavilion there are picnic tables under/around it.  I'm hoping while people are waiting for the ceremony to begin they can sit/wait under there -- and then come and stand when it starts.  Do you think I still need to rent chairs if that's the case?

Thanks for the reply!  I like the 3/4 idea better than renting for all for sure.  Basically, like I just replied to a previous post -- I realized I didn't mention in my post (now updated) that there are picnic tables under/around the pavilion.  I'm hoping while people are waiting for the ceremony to start they can sit/wait under there -- and then come over and stand when it starts.  Do you think I still need to rent chairs if that's the case?
