How time flies...

3 years ago I was planning a trip home from Buffalo for my sisters best friends wedding. 4 days before I was going to leave (3 years ago today) I got a phone call that a HS acquaintance of mine had killed himself. I packed my bags and headed home for his funeral. It was by far the most emotional funeral Ive ever been to. So emotional that 3 years later I still cry.

The day after the funeral was the wedding. There I met up wih a guy I knew from HS who asked me to be his date for the evening...he is now my husband. We had a great day/night and planned on spending every day of my week off together. We had such an amazing connection and he was a huge help in my grieving process.

Then I got a call on July 16th that a little girl from Buffalo that i babysat on occasion had died of cancer. I packed my bags again and head home for yet another amazingly difficult funeral.

Needless to say these 2 weeks for my are a rollercoaster every year.

I didnt mean to be all sad but I just looked up at a frame I have with Mark and Janies pictures and noticed that the date was today. Let the tears start rolling!

Sorry this is a rough week for you.  Everything happens for a reason though... and look at the good that came from such tragedies.  ::hugs::

I'm so sorry, and I know how you feel. I always get depressed on days that I lost people in the past, and just need to spend some time being sad.

I'm sorry you went through that.  At least you will have Josh there beside you forever!

    Thanks ladies.

I got my timeline slightly mixed up. Mark died 5 days before the wedding. I P&R'ed so I didnt bother checking my math...but yeah. Shitty 2 weeks.

:( Sad. But yes, on the "bright side" if there is one, is that you and Josh reconnected during that time and now have the rest of your lives to cry on each other's shoulders!
