shower thank yous

One question-How long do I have to send out my bridal shower thank you cards?  I had to wait for my BM to get back from vacation yesterday to get the pics and now I have just ordered them.  (Photo collage cards from Walmart) and they are expected to be in between the July 28th and August 2nd.  Is this too late?  Everything is telling me two weeks.  Is anyone really going to notice if I am a few days to a week over?

I think you should be fine. Especially if you are ordering photo cards, people should understand things like that take time.

Psssh...I have a 5 month old.  It took me like a month. At least.

Haha I understand. I would say a month tops as respectable. Im not respectable :P

The way I see it, we all have lives outside of our weddings. So your guests understand that just b/c you got had a shower or got married, your life hasnt come to a pause. People understand it'll take a little time.

I know...I was just kidding with you :)  Some people just get crazy about that kind of stuff!  My family is happy just to get one.  My fiance's family on the other hand is a little stricter with those rules.

If they are really fussy about it and your family is pretty laid back, you could always try to get theirs out first.... just to keep the peace.

I think I got my last ones out about 3 weeks after the shower (never heard the 2 weeks thing; I thought it was a month!).  I did them in groups (FI's relatives, my relatives, my friends, etc.) that way everyone in a social group would get them at the same time.  And I actually did my bridesmaids, FMIL, and mother last because I figured I'd already given them TY notes at the actual shower, so they didn't need to get another one right away.
