I need help...with alot! (really long, sorry!!)

Ok i feel like I have a million questions I've been meaning to ask and I want to ask them before I forget any of them now that i have a little time. I have a feeling this is going to be long so sorry in advance!! Ok first off, my flower girl is my only neice and I am excited for her to be in my wedding, but shes really really shy. Shes only going to be four for the wedding, and to give you an example of how shy she is she still wont look at my fiance or I after being around her since she was born. I mean, she'll start to play with us but it takes her a while each visit to warm up to us. And if anyone new looks at her she hides...soooo...i'm not sure how to get her down the aisle. Any ideas? could I have my mom walk her down since shes really comfortable with her.

Second, FI and I are having a tough time picking a first dance song so if anyone could give me opinions on our two top picks itd be awesome:) His choice is Jason Mraz ft Colbie Callet- Lucky, and my choice is The Script- Im Yours (not to be confused with jason mraz recent single of the same name) here are links to the songs:

Third, I posted pics of my crystal tree centerpiece that I was expirementing with a month or two ago. I wasn't that happy with it and other people seemed to agree there was something awkward about it or missing. This is my second attempt. Lemme know what you think this time This is the before pic:

And fourth, yes, Im sorry, theres more lol, This is the last thing for now I promise! My FI and I are confused about when we are supposed to start planning the smaller details like, ordering the cake, deciding on a menu, and renting stuff like chair covers and linens.  Im starting to stress about everything bc I'm almost to the 6 month mark, and the realization of how quick the months have been flying by has kinda got me freaking out lol.

ok.... yeah long.

#1- Flower Girl.... mine is very shy too.  I am hoping that she will be ok.  If it is really seriously traumatic for her, I honestly think making her walk down the aisle in front of everyone is kind of cruel.  If she can deal... awesome!  I think having your mom (or someone else she is comfortable with) hold her hand... if there is no one she feels comfortable with, I might just skip it.  Just not sure that it's worth stressing her out over, ya know?

#2- Don't know either of those songs and, tbh, don't feel like youtubing at the moment... maybe I will check them out later, but I am going to be pretty useless on this one.... at least for now.

#3  Love LOVE the new centerpiece!!!  Much better!  Less crystals, candles around... LOVE it!!  The candles really bring the sparkle out in the crystals and it's not too much, ya know?  The only thing I would worry about is that it might kind of block the view for your guests... I would do it up on table level and sit across from someone to see how it works.  I think centerpieces should be either very short (below eye level) or very tall (way above head when seated)... anything in between just makes for awkward conversation during dinner.

#4 Anything vendor related I would try to take care of as soon as possible.  You wedding is in the fall... which = prime time and vendors book fast.  The smaller details (exactly what to include on the menu, what drinks, etc) can be left for much later, but you need to figure out the who and how much as soon as you can.

Okay here we go...
#1 We are putting "goody bags" in their pew. I will give them to the girls (2 and 4) before to show them what they can get at the end of the isle and then hope for the best. They have a babysitter on hand all day so if it doesn't work.... No big deal. They are my neices and my sister and brother in law are in the wedding. I've been in other weddings where the flower girls walked down with bridesmaids... or moms would work too! My sister is the matron of honor and I think worst case.... she will walk down with both the flower girls... a real family moment. Don't stress with this. Having kids in teh wedding is unpredictable. You never know what can happen. In the mean time... try doing super fun things with her to get closer. Zoo, buy some fun sticker books or coloring books and go over and play.... that always works

#2 I like Lucky. I listened to the other one and it just sounds a little dark- that could just be my thought though.

#3 The centerpieces are super cute. Again, just check the height but I think they are a huge improvement.

#4 Book any and everything as soon as you can. We had 18 months to plan the wedding and I had everything (almost) at least booked at about 8-10 months out. My mom poked fun at me but now she is realizing how smart it was. We got all our first choices and since we have deposits and dates handeled we are just contacting for final details. You can't be too early!!!!

Book any and everything as soon as you can. We had 18 months to plan the wedding and I had everything (almost) at least booked at about 8-10 months out. I agree with this.  We got almost everything we wanted by booking early.  I was actually shocked when the DJ we were going to go with had already been booked by someone else about a year in advance!  Let me tell you, this lit a flame under my butt real fast.

1: I had 2.5 year old twin boys as my ring bearers (they basically just ran down the aisle in tuxes) My cousin (their mom) was at the end of the aisle with candy and they went right to her. If thats not a possibility just have her mom walk her down or someone else who isnt in the bridal party. Its totally normal/common especially if it makes her walk. See how she does at the rehearsal.

2. First dance song should be decided by you and FI not random board folks. My song was Make you feel my Love by Adele. I love Adele and that song so song picked lol. Try googleing first dance songs. A million come up.

3.Those centerpieces look great! and FYI no one will remember them after anyway. I tested this by asking a variety of guests a month after if they liked mine. No one could tell me what they were so dont stress!

4. I started planning my wedding about a year out and started detail planning about 6 months out. Things like photog and flowers should be done asap.

#1: My nephew is the same way and for his moms wedding was also 4. His mom bought him a pair of sunglasses and told him that people could only see him when he took them off, so if he wanted to walk the aisle invisible he could. About halfway down he stopped to take them off. It was cute.

#2: I love 'Lucky', always have. But I agree with Crystal. You should decide that5 on your own. Josh and I went to a bridal show a month into our engagement (with almost 2 yrs till the wedding) and when we got home we were so pumped that we started planning guest list, venue, etc. Josh brought the laptop to me and put a song on and said to me "This is our first dance song. Please dont challenge me. I love it and I want this to be it" Its Big n Rich 'Lost in the Moment (With You)' Everytime I hear it I get chills b/c he picked it for us, not b/c I left i up to a bunch of girls.

#3. LOOOOOOVE LOVE LOVE it! Couldnt love it more!

#4. If you know what you want, book it. I booked my ceremony chairs last month (3mo to go). If you have a cake vendor, you wont need to choose specifics until like a month out, same with food. Its not impossible to book things in the last few months, but it is certainly more stressful. I say if you know, get it. Dont just book something to book it tho. I cant stress that enough! I book a reception venue b/c I saw it, price fit, done. Getting to know the owner and her rules, I hated it and had to forfeit my deposit. Make sure you know you want it.

Wow I'm suprised so many people took the time to read and answer every question! Lol. Thanks alot for all of your opinions. They have really helped me figure out the things I wasn't sure about.
