Wedding Update Wednesday

This week was busy for me too... so I had to post!

1.  To go along with my STD postcard, we made a STD trailer --

And a blooper reel --

They were pretty fun to make.  It took longer for me to edit than for us to actually record.

2.  I got my STD postcards in on Monday, and am already almost done with addressing.  Waiting on about 20 more addresses, which I hope I'll get by Friday so I can just get these out and done with.  FI was kind enough to lick all of the stamps lol... I don't like licking stamps, and I found some old ones on e-bay that sadly used to be for 1st class mail at 29 cents, but is now for postcards.  I bought most of them at cost, so I was pretty happy with that.

3.  Filling out STDs also meant we finalized our guestlist (and are a bit over our goal... but it's not tooooo bad).

4.  Updated my wedding website a little bit, but still have some work to do hopefully over the weekend.

5.  Finalized the tuxes for groom (all white), groomsmen (all black with white shirt and pocket square), and fathers (black tuxes, grey tie/vest, white shirt/pocket square).

6.  Gave my bridesmaids a deadline of 2 weeks to order their dresses... I originally asked them to order by Thanksgiving, so I had to push back the deadline... but I'll be stricter this time! lol...

7.  Ordered our champagne flutes... trying to decide if I want to get them engraved...

8.  Started our registries (Target and Macy's)... I only have like 5 things at Macy's so I don't know if I'll even tell people about it.  I'm planning on going again in a few weeks so maybe we'll find more things we want.  The main reason I went there was I wanted to put some fancy things on it like china, silverware, vases, etc.  But I didn't find any china or silverware there that I really likes...  I want to go to the one in NYC -- the HUGEEEE one -- sometime in the next few months and do my registry there.  I think that would be a lot of fun.  (I go down to see my family in that area, so it's doable.)

9.  I think I found my bachelorette party dress... or maybe my rehearsal ceremony dress... or both... lol. It's red and really cute.  I was kind of just trying it on for fun cause I thought it was too expensive (even at 50% off), but then it turned out it was 75% off and I had a 25% off coupon... and I just couldn't pass that up.  (I'm addicted to sales...)  I figured if I decided to return it I had 2 weeks, but I showed FI and he said it was really nice and I should keep it.  It's a little more form fitting than dresses/clothes I usually wear... but if's different/fun.

Phew... I'm tired just thinking about all the stuff I was running around doing.  lol  This week I have to stop working on wedding stuff... and work on Christmas stuff!  FI is a little upset we didn't decorate and put up the tree last weekend, so I told him I'm going to try to make some time for us to do it this week since I'm going out of town this weekend.... Hopefully that happens... I don't particularly trust him to decorate by himself, haha... plus it's a nice couple-y thing to do.  :)

Hope you guys got lots of things done this last week... or if not, at least had a relaxing week!  I feel like things are pretty crazed right now due to holidays... which is normal this time of year.

...makes me miss Lorna. I've been sending positive thoughts her way and hope she's doing ok!

Anyway-the first Wednesday in a while I have something to report! We ordered our favors with are mason jar mugs that will double as water glasses and favors. I stole one our your ideas (can't remember who sorry!) and will have NY state printed on them with a little heart cut out where our wedding is going to be (Cooperstown). We also finally got around to sending out the rest of our Save the Dates. Our official guest list is at 230 which is about double what I had originally hoped for! BAH!! The more the merrier is my attitude these days! I've also has some luck finding dresses for my sister/MOH so all in all it has been a productive week!

Bito! You have been super busy!!

</div><div>I saw some pillows like that on Etsy... such a cute idea!  I was telling my fiance last night actually that I want to get some pillows like that with something over each of our hometowns for each of us and our college for both of us. Maybe like a red dot for me, blue for him, and purple for college since red and blue make purple, yah know? lol

Bito-- date twin!!! You have reminded me of everything we have to do! And speaking of which, we're now officially behind.

I didn't accomplish too much this week; however, my dress came in which means the dress/veil are now paid off! Also, one more bridesmaid dress came in. 4 down, waiting on 2.

Just waiting for both sets of parents to finish reviewing the guest list. We need to order the save-the-dates (already have it picked out), so we can get them out in the new year.

Oh! Also, meeting with the florist right after the first of the year. She offered to do all the coordinating that day as well which is awesome. She works with the site coordinator (the building next door) all the time, so it should be great! Yay!

I didn't do much last week, just added pins to pinterest and kept browsing for ideas.  Today I'm calling a restaurant called Coblestone in Geneva to see if they're booking rehersal dinners yet.  Anyone been there?

Bito - We went to a "large" Macys by us to register, and ended up adding most things online.  Stores just don't carry all the possiblities, plus we liked reading the product reviews.  Good luck!

Cobblestone has been here for ages, and is really popular with the "older" crowd. I say that because being a college town, a lot of locals like to stay away from places that attract the students. I haven't been there in quite a while, but I'm sure not much has changed over the years.

I was hoping you had been there before :)  I'm fine with an "older" crowd, because I'm looking for a semi-private room and decent Italian food.  They seem to fit those needs, so I'll call later today.

They also are the best place to go for seafood in Geneva. They have it flown in fresh everyday.
