RANT...grrrrr

So I ordered my wedding dress from David's Bridal in the beginning of November and they said it would be in on Jan 31st. Well, me being super excited to get MY dress in my hands, I called today.
First they told me that I had bought a dress and took it home that day, which is not the case.  Next, they asked me for the style number. So I had to search for my style number on their website, which Ok, I can understand I should know that.
Then they tell me that apparently my dress came in on Jan. 9th and I  got a call about it. Well I was on a cruise, so I did not have my phone on for a week. No voice-mail or anything and of course I did not have a missed call because my phone was off...

So while they are telling me my dress came in already, they told me it may have been sent back because I was not prompt enough to pick it up; you should have seen my face when they told me this! Yell

So, the girl goes back and searches for it, and somehow, I get hung up on. So I call back...another salesperson that I have to explain my situation to and she tells me that there is no way I could have talked to someone else today because she is the only one at the desk. Funny because I could have sworn I just talked someone COMPLETELY different..
So while I am on the phone with this woman, the previous woman is calling me and leaves me a voicemail about how my dress is still there, and I need to come pick up within 7-9 days....jeez.

im sorry this is super long, but I was about to get a little worked up that a dress that was paid for in full could just be sent back.
On a much happier note, I'm picking up my wedding dress this weekendSmile, so yes in the end everything worked out, and I know I have A LOT of time for all these little mishaps to occur, but the dress is pretty important...

Has anyone else ever experienced this with Davids???

Wow, how frustrating! I'm sorry you had to deal with all that hoopla.

At least you get to pick up your dress this weekend! I won't have mine in hand until March 2nd, a few days before the wedding.

I am sorry you are frustrated... but... I have to point out that your wedding is still over a year away.
Don't ya think that's a bit soon to pick out/order your dress, let alone freak out that it hasn't been delivered (even though it had been)???

Relax... you have a ways to go.

I had my dress over a year before my wedding, and I totally know the excitement of having it in your hands. No matter how much time you have...when you find that dress, you know its it and nothing will change that feeling.

Davids...hate them. With a passion. I tried telling my sister to go elsewhere but of course I know nothing and she made an appt anyways. Hm. They never called me when my dress came in. I had to go in to get my BM dress for my FSILs wedding and decided to ask if they knew when itd be in. They tell me it came in last week, they called (phone was on...no ya didnt) and that I need to take it home TODAY. Well, FI is in the car and Im on my way to play Vball at a bar...not happening. So I told her I would pick it up 5-7 days after they actually called me. I got a ph call about an hr later.

BM dresses. Holy other story. My MOH stood in the entryway for 15 min while assoc walked by her and didnt say a word. She finally had to stop someone and ask to be helped. Then when her dress comes in they called me (MOH gave them her # and asked to be called personally). I told them to call her. a week later they called me again. Repeat. 1 more week and they call me again (never having called MOH) and I flipped. Told them I work FT, go to school PT and am planning a wedding and unless they wanted to unleash bridzilla I highly suggest they follow MOHs wishes and call her b/c I have enough on my plate and I didnt pay for the dang dress...

UGH. Thanks for letting me rant haha

Yes, I know that I have time, but I've heard so many awful things about David's and I told myself that those are "freak accidents"...and of course I gave them a chance and they frustrated me. Not to mention the whole poor customer service thing....I just needed to rant, and thought I could here.

I should be getting my dress in March (my wedding is in June), but I went to Davids and I thought it was AWFULLLL!

I had made an appt and it was my first stop for dress shopping so I had zero idea of what to do.  I swear I met my "consultant" for a matter of seconds before she was off with another client.  I had to pull my own dresses, and it being my first time, I had zero idea of sizing or style/fit.

AWFUL.  Im happy you are able to pick up your dress but I wouldnt reccommend that place to anyone!
