Wedding Cake-Rome, NY

Help. Our wedding is November 6th of this year, and our baker just cancelled on us. I've already called the Franklin Hotel (they arn't available) and Sugared Plum Ovens (don't do tiered cakes). I'm officically out of ideas and am beginning to freak out. I'd really rather not go to a grocery store because I don't like how typical the cakes look.

    Not too familiar with the rome area, but maybe some places from Utica would deliver to Rome?  I am getting mine from Desserts Beyond the Ordinary in Utica.

    Haven't been there, but try Cakes by Jodi, they look really good!

    She was actually our choice, and I had everything situated with her but she is having a family crisis and is unable to cakes at this time, so she's cancelled our order.

    Oh, sorry...I didn't know! Good luck in the search for a cake baker. I'm getting mine done by a former co-worker of mine, wish I could help more.

    I went with Cakes by Chris. She is in Rome but works out of her house. If you like I can ask her if I can give you her number?

    Florentine Pastry Shop in Utica.

    And if you want to go cupcakes, we had Sugarbabes and they were GREAT.
